Inspiration!

Back again. At some point, these posts will slow down. This is a novelty, so the posts will be often...at least for a while.
Last night I felt like some neon.
Base of Rimmel Grey Matter. I have to say, I love it. I like having a grey without shimmer, and the brush is AMAZING. Dots in various Kleancolor neons.

Tonight, I removed it with no idea of what I was going to do. A member of a facebook page I am on posted a mani of hers-and my god. I had never heard of dry marbling. I do not do water marbling because of my inherent spazz-ness, so I got pretty excited about the idea of dry.
My thumb nail was my test:
I did it! Cue ridiculous excitement. My next few nails were not quite so good-and I completely screwed my middle nail when I got a cotton pad stuck to it (how? I don't know). So let's ignore that nail, ok?
Colours are both Sinful Colors, Why Not and Cloud 9. I am quite pleased with it, actually. I am usually so bung with this kind of thing. On my right hand, I have just alternated the colours.

Aaand the mani that inspired me-Harriet at Nailhilism. Be warned-it is fabulous.

To finish, a photo of my cat. Next blog will revolve around Dexter, I think.

I have recently been thinking about writing a blog. It will likely be pretty boring for anyone that is not me, but maybe something, sometime, will catch your interest.

I thought I'd kick off by throwing in some pictures of nails I have given myself. You know how you look at nail blogs, and are both awed and jealous-not only of their skill, but of their beautiful nails? This is not a blog like that. More likely, my nails will make you feel wonderful about yours. I am pretty new to the world of nail art and I am definitely NOT what you'd call an excellent artist. I am improving-and by improving I mean my hands don't shake quite as much as they used to.

This is the kind of thing I first started out with. Miki black, and I used Art Deco nail art pens for the flowers.

Sinful Colors-Unicorn. I am in love with this polish. It is just so pretty. Flowers are also all Sinful.  Exotic Green. Cloud 9 (orange) and Why Not.

My cat mani. The cat stickers were a bit of a pain. I lost 4-5 of them when they came off the backing, leaving heads, tails, or legs behind. Base colour is No 25, an HD brand available from the various $2 shops.

Tic Tac Toe! Base is Kleancolor  Neon Aqua, basic black striping polish, green is Revlon Minted, and the purple is Revlon Cloud.

Right now, I am trying out a neons-on-grey. I'll let you know how it goes.
